My Friend Angie * Frederick MD Friend Photographer

I know you guys are used to seeing baby pictures here (scroll down there are tons), but I thought this shoot was too powerful not to share on a public forum. I took these pictures for my friend Angie last year about two weeks before Christmas. Angie had just started chemo to treat her breast cancer and her hair was falling out, her head was itchy and she wanted it off. Her problem was she needed help. Let’s face it, this whole situation sucked. Really none of us, including Angie wanted to deal with this, but here we all were. Anyone who knows me knows that I am pretty good at making the best of any situation. I am drawn to like minded people, so naturally Angie and I planned a little dinner/head shaving/ugly sweater making evening (Troy needed one for a party that weekend) with our guys, and made a horrible task into a fun night with friends that none of us will ever forget. I think the pictures describe Angie’s spirit so much better than my words ever could. I am posting them in color because the B/W version seemed to remove the lightness and peace that was floating around my bathroom that winter night. Please note that Angie wore a fluffy red tutu while Troy shaved her head and I photographed it, because that’s how it’s done.
